| Hortonworks Bug ID | Apache Component | Apache JIRA | Summary | Details |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BUG-113252 | Hive | N/A | Kerberos users connected to Hive using Hive Warehouse Connector no longer have to reconfigure for client and cluster modes |
Scenario: The Spark property spark.security.credentials.hiveserver2.enabled is configured based on whether you are running in client-mode or cluster-mode. Previous behavior: On Kerberized clusters, you have to toggle the Spark property spark.security.credentials.hiveserver2.enabled depending on whether you are running in client-mode or cluster-mode. New behavior: Hive automatically detects whether a Spark session is running on client-mode or cluster-mode, and automatically sets the spark.security.credentials.hiveserver2.enabled parameter. Expected Customer Action: When connected to Hive using the HiveWarehouseConnector, you no longer have to toggle the Spark property spark.security.credentials.hiveserver2.enabled. |
| BUG-121426 | Hive | HIVE-12192 | HDP 3.0 timestamps are treated as UTC by default. |
Previous behavior: TIMESTAMP data is represented internally by Hive using the system time zone. New behavior: TIMESTAMP data is represented internally by Hive using UTC timezone. |
